The Wilderness Hotel - Golf Resort near George
The Wilderness Hotel is 25 km from George. The resort features the Loerie Restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Centre offers Hydrotherapy, including Rasul treatments with mineral-rich mud, heat, and steam. The Burger Bar offers Polar Express-o's. Swimm' n Chick' n provides a casual dining experience and a sports bar. A Gary Player-designed 18-hole golf course offers views of the Keurbooms Lagoon, Indian Ocean, Tsitsikamma Mountains, and Robberg Peninsula. Garden Route Horse Trails offers horse riding in the Garden Route National Park. The Garden Route is suited for adventure activities such as sky-diving in Mossel Bay, paragliding in Wilderness, canoeing on the Kaaimans River, and quad-biking over the Montagu Pass. Garden Route Trail provides nature guiding. The environmental diversity offers forest, wetland, dune, Fynbos, estuary, riverine, montane, and coastal experiences. The Goukamma River and estuary and the Groenvlei Lake provide a habitat for over 220 bird species, including the African black oystercatcher.
